Years of collecting these precious treasures and charms has come together in this 3-strand bib ONE OF A KIND charm necklace by Schaef Designs Jewelry. Made of RARE White Creek Turquoise Nuggets and heishi this necklace will bring joy and compliments throughout the years.
On the first and longest strand the focal charm pendant is a a fabulous old Zuni Dolomite carved frog with inset turquoise dots framed in sterling silver. On each side is a pair of turquoise & sterling silver cross repurposed earring pendants. Next, a pair of sterling silver squash flowers from a very old childs first squash blossom necklace. Wonderful tuquoise circles organically wrapped with sterling wire to form a bail are nestled next to turquoise heart and stamped hearts. To the left is a Frida sterling silver hear with flames earring pendant, and on the right in the same approximate place is a vintage sterling silver stamped cross.
The middle and second strand is a petite pin shell and turquoise heishi with White Creek Turquoise nuggets. This strand hosts a collection of exquisitely carved bear fetishes.
The third and shortest strand in this necklace is tuqruoise heishi with a different collection of turquoise bear fetishes. This totem necklace has animals of great strength and stamina (the bear) and the frog which represents peace, change and adaptability. Frogs and Bears are popular fetishes made and used by the Zuni's in their life and jewelry.
All 3 strands connect to hammered sterling silver rings then to one strand (for comfort).
Necklace is closed with a large hammered sterling silver "S" hook and finished with a Schaef Designs Jewlery sterling silver tag with stamped hallmark.
Necklace measures 24 inches total length from the longest strand to approx. 20 inches for the shortest strand.
